Samuel Ajose, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, has begun the construction of a party federation house in Badagry to strengthen unity ahead of 2027.

Mr Ajose, a former governorship aspirant popularly known as ‘SMA Gold,’ laid the foundation of the SMA Badagry Federation House in Ibereko, Badagry, on Sunday.

He said the project would provide a central venue for party members to deliberate on development and strategic issues affecting the APC in the Badagry division of Lagos State.

“What we are doing today is to create an infrastructure in Badagry where everyone will converge and be able to make decisions,” Mr Ajose said.

According to him, the facility will be completed within two months and serve as the headquarters for APC activities across the division.

“The building will be completed in two months, and it will be a meeting point for all party activities in Badagry Division,” he said.

Mr Ajose said the project was designed to deepen unity and ensure members presented a common front on political matters.

“This is to enhance unity, so that we can speak with one voice in Badagry Division,” he added.

He expressed confidence that the party could secure 3.5 million votes in Lagos State during the next general election.

“This is not too much out of the six million registered voters in Lagos State for President Bola Tinubu and Dr Kadri Hamzat in 2027,” Mr Ajose said.

The Lagos APC Chairman, Mr Cornelius Ojelabi, described Ajose as a committed party stakeholder whose contributions had strengthened the APC’s presence in Badagry.

Represented by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Tolani Sule, Mr Ojelabi said Mr Ajose had provided leadership, infrastructure and financial support for the party.

“SMA Gold is the focus of the moment. God is using him for the development of Badagry Division and Lagos State,” he said.

Mr Ojelabi noted that the building would provide a permanent venue for meetings and conflict resolution among party leaders and members.

He said the facility would help the APC leadership coordinate activities, resolve disputes and project the party more effectively.

The chairman expressed optimism that Badagry would deliver substantial votes for the APC because of Ajose’s investments and developmental contributions.

The Chief Imam of Badagry division, Abdulakeem Akewusola, led other Islamic clerics in offering prayers for the party’s success in future elections.

He prayed for victory for President Bola Tinubu, Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat and other APC candidates in the forthcoming general election.

Traditional rulers, party leaders, stakeholders and residents from across Badagry attended the foundation-laying ceremony.
