Controversial singer Habeeb ‘Portable’ Okikiola has defeated his colleague, Darlington Okoye, otherwise called Speed Darlington, in a boxing match to claim the ‘Street King’ bragging rights on Friday.

Following days of face-offs, the two controversial figures finally met in the ring in a ‘Chaos In The Ring’ boxing showdown organised by Game Rush and Balmoral Promotions at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.

However, it was Portable that came out of the fight victorious as the ‘Zazuu’ crooner submitted Speed Darlington to a technical knockout in the first round of the fight to clinch the ‘Street King’ title.

The fight between the duo was backed by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control Chairman, with its chairman Rafiu Ladipo present at the last weigh-in on Thursday.

The rivalry between the two singers started when Speed Darlington offered Portable N500,000 to perform at one of his shows — an offer which Portable tagged disrespectful while claiming he charges N20 million for performance.

Portable also accused ‘poor’ Speed Darlington of using his name for promotion and dismissed any friendship with him, with the rift quickly becoming a full-blown social media battle between the two men before agreeing to settle the matter inside the boxing ring.

The fight was Portable’s second win in the ring against a fellow singer after he defeated Nollywood actor Charles Okocha in a similar celebrity boxing match in December 2023, where he clinched victory after four rounds at the Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos.
