Governor Uba Sani has promised to make a presentation at the National Economic Council(NEC) for ministries, departments and agencies to patronise vehicles produced by Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria(D-PAN) Limited.
Speaking after unveiling the Peugeot 5008, 2026 model at the factory’s premises on Friday, the governor commended Aliko Dangote for his patriotism by always investing in Nigeria.
He pointed out that D-PAN had created jobs in Kaduna State, addressed some skill gaps and boosted the local economy of the factory’s immediate environment and Kaduna State as a whole.
He said, “I will make a strong presentation at the National Economic Council, urging both the federal and state governments to patronise the products of this company because that is the only way they can survive.
‘’As a government, Kaduna State will order some of the vehicles, so that we can show the example for others to follow, by patronising this very important company.”
Mr Sani also promised to give D-PAN the necessary supports required because Kaduna State is a shareholder in the company and pledged to deepen the partnership.
He called on the company to ‘’consider some of our graduates who graduated from the Institute of Vocational and Skills Development just last week. They have gone through intensive training in partnership with the National Board for Technical Education(NBTE).’’
The governor who commended D-PAN for its corporate social responsibility by supporting communities around the company’s area of operation, urged the management to do more.
Mr Sani added that the host community and D-PAN were coexisting peacefully, adding “And the only way that we can maintain this harmony is by giving adequate support to them.”
