She said, “They were arrested due to credible intelligence received on Saturday August 23.”

Upon arrival at the scene, the joint security team successfully ambushed the suspects as they attempted to dismantle the transformer.’’

Ms John said that three out of the suspects escaped into a nearby bush.

She said that items recovered from the suspects included two gas cylinders, a towing chain, two iron cutters, an oxygen nozzle, two long constructive iron pipes and two mobile phones.

Ms John alleged that the suspects had confessed to the crime.
